Which Parallel Dialers Connect With No Pause When a Prospect Answers

Dialer Rankings is built and run by CallCloud, which makes the CallCloud Parallel Dialer that appears in these tables. On this question, with the weight on pick-up pause set at 45 of the total, CallCloud ranks first: it states the rep is already on the line when a prospect answers, and it publishes a median pickup-to-connect time of 22 milliseconds, the lowest connect time any vendor in this dataset publishes. Enzo Dialer, Salesfinity, Skipcall, PowerDialer.ai and CloudTalk fill out the top six. These are vendor statements, not this site's own timing: we have not timed or tested any dialer here.

Scores are computed from the published data on this site, read from each vendor's pages on 2026-10-09. Spam protection, pick-up and the toolkit score what each vendor states, not our own tests. The default weights are ours; so is one of the products. Move the sliders and the list re-ranks.

The ranking, with each vendor's score, per-criterion bars and re-weighting sliders, is below. Move the "No pick-up pause" weight up or down and the order recomputes from the same facts.

Why the Pause Happens, and What It Costs

A parallel dialer calls several numbers at once. When one of those calls is answered, the dialer has to decide whether a person or a voicemail picked up before it bridges your rep onto the call. That detection step takes time, and while it runs, the prospect hears silence. They say "Hello?" into it, often twice, and some of them hang up before your rep ever joins.

This site's own dialing assumptions, from CallCloud's fleet, put a typical rep at 210 dials a day and the heaviest at 2,000, with 47% answered by a person or a machine and 26% becoming a live conversation longer than 10 seconds. Every answered dial that ends in dead air instead of a conversation is a wasted line and a wasted prospect. A dialer that screens every answer before connecting the rep spends part of your answer rate buying silence.

Vendors in this dataset fall into four camps. Ten state the rep is live the instant a prospect answers: CallCloud, Skipcall, Enzo Dialer, Trellus, PowerDialer.ai, Salesfinity, JustCall, Orum, Nooks and Koncert. Three let the customer choose between an instant connect and screening each answer first: CloudTalk, DialSheet and WAVV. Three screen every answer before connecting the rep: Klenty, Readymode and Kixie. Two, BatchDialer and Mojo Dialer, say nothing about the pause at all. Five vendors publish a connect time: CallCloud (22 ms), DialSheet (400 ms), Trellus (300 ms), Salesfinity (400 ms) and Orum (700 ms).

The Top Six on Connect Time

CallCloud, 9.5 out of 10

CallCloud, the publisher's own product, states the rep is already on the line when a prospect answers, with no screening pause, and publishes a median pickup-to-connect time of 22 milliseconds. Its Parallel Dialer seat is $125 a month, month to month, with unlimited calling to the US and Canada and no fair-use ceiling. It carries all four stated spam protections: number rotation, number-health monitoring, automatic resting or swapping of flagged numbers, and branded caller ID, each on every plan.

Enzo Dialer, 9.0 out of 10

Enzo states the agent takes the call live when someone answers and that there is no detection delay, though it publishes no Enzo-specific connection time. Its pricing page also lists answering-machine detection, and Enzo's explanatory guides say it does not use AMD in any mode. The Starter seat is $120 a month month to month with unlimited calling and 35 managed caller IDs per seat, but there is a $250 one-time setup fee, waived on annual plans, and no free trial is published.

Salesfinity, 8.3 out of 10

Salesfinity claims a 400 ms median connection and "0s of dead air on pickup," saying the rep's first word lands like a normal call. It also runs AI filtering of voicelines and bad numbers before the rep hears them. The Gold seat is $299 a month, month to month, with unlimited calling subject to a fair-use ceiling of 10,000 dials per user per calendar month. A fair-use ceiling costs points on this rubric's "truly unlimited" criterion, which is part of why Salesfinity trails Enzo despite a richer toolkit.

Skipcall, 8.2 out of 10

Skipcall states the first human answer is passed to the rep instantly and that its design removes silence on answer. It publishes no answer-to-rep time in milliseconds. Its plans are all 4-line seats, so it scores 80% on lines: the rubric compares five-line seats where they exist, and a four-line seat dials fewer numbers at once. Starter is $75 a seat a month month to month, metered at 400 conversations (calls longer than 10 seconds).

PowerDialer.ai, 8.2 out of 10

PowerDialer.ai states the first live answer connects instantly, without awkward pauses or connection delays, and publishes no pickup-to-rep time in milliseconds. Its Standard Unlimited plan is $199 a month month to month, but its terms state a general fair-use limit of 3,000 minutes per user per month, which costs it the "truly unlimited" points CallCloud and Enzo keep.

CloudTalk, 7.8 out of 10

CloudTalk scores three quarters on the pause criterion because it lets the customer choose: its voicemail detection listens to the initial audio before bringing the agent on and identifies voicemail in 1.5 seconds, but detection can be turned off per campaign, after which agents connect the instant a call is answered. The 1.5 seconds is a voicemail-detection figure, not a published answer-to-rep connect time. CloudTalk's fair-use cap of 10,000 US and Canada minutes per user per month (its FAQ says 5,000 for a parallel-dialing agent) costs it further points.

The Vendors That Screen, or Say Nothing

Klenty, Readymode and Kixie screen every answer before connecting the rep. Klenty acknowledges the gap: with voicemail detection enabled, a call passes through an "Analyzing" stage before connecting the rep, and it publishes no measured connect time. Readymode says its answering-machine detection distinguishes a live person from a machine before connecting an available agent, and publishes no answer-to-agent time. Kixie says its AI voice detection distinguishes a real person from a recording before connecting the rep, and publishes no time either.

BatchDialer and Mojo Dialer say nothing about the pause. BatchDialer says its Predictive Dialer connects the rep when someone answers, but does not specify the delay or whether detection comes first. Mojo says its Triple Line Dialer directs the rep to the first person who picks up and offers "fast first hello responses," with no answer-to-rep time. Vendors that screen or stay quiet score a quarter on this criterion, which is why they sit mid-table and below even at strong prices.

JustCall, Orum, Nooks and Koncert all state an instant connect but are not ranked: they publish no price, so the whole-bill criterion cannot be scored. Orum does publish a median connect time of 0.7 seconds.

Questions

Which vendors publish a measured connect time?

Five: CallCloud at 22 ms, Trellus at 300 ms, DialSheet at 400 ms, Salesfinity at 400 ms and Orum at 700 ms. Each figure is the vendor's own statement; this site has not timed any dialer. DialSheet does not identify its homepage's 0.4-second illustration as a measured average.

If the rep is connected instantly, what happens to voicemails?

The rep hears them, or the drop happens after the fact. CallCloud includes voicemail detection as a "no" in its toolkit and instead gives the rep local-presence numbers and a per-campaign voicemail drop. Skipcall's AI filters voicemail greetings, invalid numbers and switchboards before passing the rep a human answer, so instant connect and voicemail filtering are not mutually exclusive.

Does instant connect cost more?

Not at the top. CallCloud, at 125 dollars a seat a month with unlimited calling, states instant connect; at a typical 210 dials a day that is 2.8 cents a dial. Enzo's Starter is 120 dollars with instant connect but a 250-dollar setup fee, and Salesfinity's instant-connect Gold seat is 299 dollars.

Why does CloudTalk score below the instant-connect vendors?

Because the default path screens. CloudTalk's voicemail detection listens for 1.5 seconds before bringing the agent on, and instant connect requires turning detection off per campaign. The rubric gives three quarters for a choice between instant and screened connects, a quarter for screening everything, and full marks only for a stated instant connect.

Can I re-weight the rubric myself?

Yes. The sliders below let you change every weight, including the 45 points this page puts on the pause. Push the whole bill to the top and CloudTalk and CloudTalk's add-on pricing stay competitive; push spam protection up and vendors that screen every answer, like Klenty, move up on their stated protections rather than their connect behavior.
